This statement will be used as your manifesto and will be posted on the pre-election website. It is the statement voters will read before choosing to vote for candidates so it is important that you are happy with it. You will not be able to amend it once submitted.

In no more than 200 words please outline what it is you are campaigning for, why you have chosen it and what you would do if you were elected to make your campaign successful. Feel free to use any spare space to outline why you would make a good Youth Parliament member and why it is important for young people to have their voice heard. Keep your statement brief, succinct and check your spelling punctuation and grammar.

As a potential Barnet Member/Deputy of UK Youth Parliament, your child is required to participate in the following activities:

  • Local and Authority Wide Youth Parliament Meetings
  • Residentials
  • Meetings with local Councillors
  • Additional activities you choose to undertake

All residential expenses and residential costs will be covered.
